Re-Ups

Many of the older links to filehosts and even some of the more recent ones - could now be defunct.
If you would like something re-uploaded - feel free to ask. If one of us still has the files, and you have some patience, it's certainly possible.

Just please don't ask Anonymously.

Grab an ID - you may already have have one and not know it - http://openid.net/get-an-openid/ - and ask as a person. Or an animal. Or whatever you like - we'll be pleased to hear from you.

Most of the posts we make here take quite a long time to put together. Typically, less than 5% of the people that download the music leave any comment at all, even anonymously.
Whilst neither of us does this in order to be thanked or praised - the very large majority of people that take and say nothing, can be dispiriting.

In this context - it is a tough call to ask for someone to do yet more work for you than they have already put in for little response - anonymously.
It feels like we're just chucking stuff into a vast unknown void.
Or carefully packaging up beloved articles and throwing them into the sea.

But be an individual, with an identity (of sorts - there's no question of breaching your personal privacy) - and we will happily welcome you to this place.
Again and again probably.
Here, have a chair and a glass of wine. . .

How about a re-up for Bang and Cherry "Untitled Gift". I've a zillion Cherrys, but missed this one.
Thanks

Sure

Could you reup the Archie Shepp & Philly Joe Jones LP in FLAC? Thanks!

http://ninegreychairs.blogspot.com/2009/03/blog-post.html

serviceton said...

Hey Ed. I didn't download Sotise's rip of Archie Shepp/Philly Joe, because I already had the LP. So I know that I dont have digital files of it. If Sotise doesn't still have the files, I could do a rip of my copy, if you have some patience.

Rev. bIGhIG said...

S & S,
Posted my request Feb. 12 (Bang and Cherry), your reply of "Sure" appeared Feb. 14. Is the re-up up? If so, where do I find it?
Regards

serviceton said...

Rev. bIGhIG -_ You didn't see it?
Go to original post -http://ninegreychairs.blogspot.com.au/2011/06/untitled-gift-billy-bang-anima-3bg9.html

Then the last comment from me in the comments shows 'Re-up: - Feb 2015'

Hurry, because that link is about to expire i think. By downloading it, you will keep it alive longer - so go !

serviceton, thanks, I'd really appreciate it!

Hi there! I've been directed here from the Different perspectives in my room blog about Billy Bang, and would like to thank you about this (thankfully reissued) music I didn't know about and ordered. I noticed that you also offered one album by François Tusques (Le cabaret de la dernière chance), which is sadly pretty hard to find and whose link is dead. Is there any chance for a reup of this one?

Thanks a lot for your time and regards,
CL

Would love a re-up of the fantastic "Tome VI" from Gil Mellé. Thank you.

J. Sterling Ellison said...

Scratch that Gil Melle request. Saw the depositfiles link. Not as fast as zippy, (that link has expired) but I got it. Thank you!

serviceton said...

Cosmic Louis - I have been looking for the Francois Tusques files of Le cabaret de la dernière chance - and cannot find them anywhere. Can't figure out why - there's no way I would have knowingly deleted them. I'll search some hard drives in some cupboards..

What's the chance of a re-up of Tony Oxley's Ichnos in FLAC? Years ago as a teenager I bought the vinyl in a s/h shop just because of the amazing drumkit on the cover. I had _no_ idea what I was getting into! It probably took another 10 years for me to understand free jazz and improv by which time I had sold or lost the LP. Thanks!

serviceton said...

Just put some re-up links for Ichnos in comments of original post.
Enjoy.

Life is A Killer new download link on original post now.

skronk4breakfast said...

Thanks for offering the Tony Oxley Ichnos re-up but I cant find the new details - there only seems to be the old rapidshare link in the comments - did you put the details somewhere else?

And while we are discussing TO, is there a chance of a re-up of Incus 08?

Thank you for preserving this wonderful rare music!

serviceton said...

That is a really good point skronk4breakfast - where the hell did I put the link for Ichnos, it's not on the original album page you're right.

Hmmm, bit spooky but never mind - gimme 10 minutes and I'll append new links on the Ichnos page.
(They'll be Mega links - sorry to anyone not liking Mega, but I can't get 1Fichier and some others to do anything but time out on me)

As for Incus08/Oxley - please check back tomorrow !

Hi there, I'm still loving the Tony Oxley Incus re-ups that you did for us a while back. Meanwhile, what is the likelihood of a re-up for the Instant Composers pool - Groupcomposing - ICP LP 006 (preferably in FLAC)? That would be tasty if it were possible. Once again thanks for all that you do.

Skronk4breakfast said...

And while we are here ... what would be the likelihood of being able to hear The Art Ensemble Phase One again? I was lucky enough to see them recently and it brought all the memories back. I owned Phase One on vinyl back in the day but it is long gone now, would be thrilling to be there again.
Thank you for keeping this wonderful music alive.

Hello!,

Would it be possible to get a new link for the Andrew Hill solo album: "What About"? That's a tough one to track down. Many thanks to the original poster and thanks in advance for the possible re-up!
